About Us

For over 60 years, Chez Jacques has been a must in the Sainte Catherine district (Brussels). Originally it was a bistro which welcomed the deliverymen and the merchants of the Fish Market from 3 am, where Pistolets (typical Belgium small bread) and croissants with coffee was served. The place was always full. From 11 am, the place was transformed into a eatery with fresh fish of the day. Since then, the menu has grown and continuity is ensured by the brothers (Adrien the Chef and Jean-Philippe your host). The former bistro is now a typical fish restaurant which has kept the soul of the original place where you can enjoy good food. Many paintings by the painter Paul Vankueken (friend of the owner in the 1970s - 80s) still adorn the entrance hall of the restaurant.
