Chez Jacques – The authentic Belgian bistro in the Sainte-Catherine neighbourhood

Since 1936, Chez Jacques has been much more than just a restaurant: it is an authentic establishment, a lively place where people come to share a good meal and enjoy a truly convivial atmosphere.

On the lively terrace of the Marché aux Poissons, laughter, conversation and clinking glasses mingle – passers-by, local frequenters, and curious travellers from all over the world meet here as if among friends.

Inside, the charm of an old Brussels café, with its wood panelling, mirrors and timeless atmosphere, makes you want to hang around.

On the table, you’ll find authentic Belgian cuisine: crispy shrimp croquettes, sole meunière, flavourful mussels, ray with brown butter… Simple, generous and flavourful dishes, carefully prepared by a passionate team.

Behind it all are Adrien and Jean-Philippe, two brothers from a family of local restaurateurs, who carry on the Brussels spirit with a warm smile and professionalism: bon vivant, sincere and welcoming.
